14 Air Reserve Flight
Another component of the 14 AR Flt is the Contingency Capability Organization referred to as CCAP or CCO. The CCO is responsible for training and generating deployed forces in support of world wide air operations and other national commitments. The CCO at Greenwood is recognized for a high standard of training in such areas as Prerequisite Training; Individual/Collective Combat Skills; Occupational/Unit Skills; Peace Support Operations; and Command and Control Training. The 14 AR Flt at Greenwood is the largest Air Reserve Flight in the Air Force. Since the inception of the Flight in 1977, it has grown from a complement of 60 personnel to an all time high of 200+ personnel is April 2002. This significant growth has certainly been welcomed throughout the wing and has been beneficial to the entire 14 Wing Team. All administration pertaining to the AR Flt personnel such as Personnel Files, MOC Training and Pay & Benefits are conducted at the AR Orderly Room located in 6 Hangar. The AR personnel are provided with full admin support from time of their enrolment to release. Understandably, the recruitment of skilled personnel (Ex Res F and Reg F) is an ongoing process and is driven by position vacancy and the applicable occupation and rank requirements. Recruitment of unskilled personnel with no previous Res F or Reg F experience is driven by the availability of Basic Military Qualification (BMQ) Training (Basic Recruit Training) and follow-on military occupation (MOC) training. A Recruit Training Information Briefing (approx. 2 hrs) is usually conducted to attract unskilled (ab-initio) personnel when position vacancies warrant it. Further information regarding employment or other air reserve issues may be obtained by calling the AR Flt at (902) 765-1494 ext 5649 or 5378, or you may visit the AR Flt Orderly Room in No.6 Hangar.
