Air Force Safety Centre - (AFS Ctr)

On behalf of the Commander, the Director of AFS Ctr is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Division safety programs. Within 1 Cdn Air Div the AFS Ctr oversees the following programs; General Safety, Laser Safety, Nuclear Safety, Radio Frequency Safety and Respiratory Protection Program. The AFS Ctr is staffed by five professional Safety Officers who maintain a speciality in one or more of the above sub-elements in addition to being crosstrained in all elements. These subject matter experts are available to provide advice, direction or assistance to 1 Cdn Air Div personnel on all aspects of their specific program.
