Ottawa, Canada -- Everyone is invited to enjoy a free lunchtime concert on Friday, October 7 at 12:00 noon. Music Director Pinchas Zukerman will lead the National Arts Centre Orchestra in some of the repertoire that they will be taking on tour to Alberta and Saskatchewan in November.
The one-hour concert opens with Pinchas Zukerman and NACO violinist Jessica Linnebach performing Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins with the Orchestra. NACO principal cello Amanda Forsyth will then perform Electra Rising, the Juno Award-winning cello concerto composed for her by her father Malcolm Forsyth. Both of these concertos will be performed on tour at a special concert in Edmonton, where both Linnebach and Forsyth will be returning to their hometown. The concert closes with the Finale of Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8.
Hear it all for free performed by the full National Arts Centre Orchestra with the legendary Pinchas Zukerman on the podium.
No tickets are required. Just come to Southam Hall at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 7.
