January 26, 2006 -

OTTAWA -- Sushi like miniature works of art. Gorgeous British Columbia sherbet in miniature cones. A glass of cabernet sauvignon from one of Canada’s finest wineries.

And this is but a taste…

Come to the National Arts Centre’s Culinary Experience -- an Evening of Gastronomic Delights and taste it all. This year, this spectacular evening fundraiser for the NAC and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra will feature 24 local restaurants and 15 Canadian and international wineries, breweries and spirit purveyors.

This year choose food from: Big Daddy’s Crab Shack, Blue Cactus, Café Mezzanotte, East India Company, Fettuccine’s, Haveli, Kasbah Village Moroccan Cuisine, Kinki, La Dolce Vita, Le Café, Luxe Bistro, Medithéo, Nagina, NAC Catering, Par-fyum, Pelican Grill, Pasticceria Gelateria Italiana, Restaurant Eighteen, Savana Café, Social, The Black Thorn, The Green Door and Thyme and Again Catering.

Learn a thing or two about cooking from the NAC’s very own Executive Chef Kurt Waldele, who will co-host a live cooking demonstration with 106.9 The Bear’s morning host “Stuntman Stu”.

And forget the cold winter for a few hours with the music of the Panharmonics Steel Drum Orchestra.

Culinary Experience -- an Evening of Gastronomic Delights takes place from 5:30-8:30 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 in the main foyer and banquet rooms of the NAC.

Tickets are $60.00 all-inclusive for unlimited food and drink. For tickets, visit the NAC Box office or call Ticketmaster at 755-1111.

Proceeds help support the performing arts at the NAC and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra.

Don’t miss it!
