Juno Award nomination for MOZART-ZUKERMAN on CBC Records with Pinchas Zukerman and musicians of the NAC Orchestra

Ottawa, Canada -- The CBC Records CD titled MOZART-ZUKERMAN featuring Pinchas Zukerman and musicians of the National Arts Centre Orchestra performing quintets by Mozart has been nominated for a Juno Award in the category of CLASSICAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR: Solo or Chamber Ensemble. The two nominated quintets are featured on the chamber music portion of a two-CD set that also features the National Arts Centre Orchestra conducted by Pinchas Zukerman.
The Mozart Clarinet Quintet in A major “Stadler”, K. 581 features NAC Orchestra principal clarinet Kimball Sykes together with Pinchas Zukerman and Donnie Deacon on violin, Jane Logan on viola, and Amanda Forsyth on cello. The Mozart String Quintet in G minor, K. 516 features Pinchas Zukerman and Jessica Linnebach on violin, Jethro Marks and Donnie Deacon on viola, and Amanda Forsyth on cello.

The MOZART-ZUKERMAN CD is one of over 40 CDs in the National Arts Centre Orchestra discography. The winners of this year’s Juno Awards will be announced at the Juno Awards ceremony in Edmonton, Alberta, from April 2 to 4, 2004.
