Ottawa -- Due to the tragic death of the son of Nicole Dogué, who plays the role of The Woman in Nous étions assis sur le rivage du monde… by José Pliya, directed by Denis Marleau, the National Arts Centre (NAC) French Theatre had to cancel two performances last week, on February 17 and 18. Given the circumstances, the performances of Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25, are also cancelled.  

Nicole Dogué was born in Martinique and currently resides in Paris (France). Damien, her 24-year-old only son, died in a traffic accident in Paris. The NAC French Theatre Department offers to Mrs. Dogué and her family its most sincere condolences.  

Please note that the performances of Nous étions assis sur le rivage du monde… at the NAC will not be rescheduled.  For more information regarding our exchange or refund policy, please call (613) 947-7000, ext. 875.

The following options are available for ticket holders to the February 17, 18, 24 and 25 performances:

• You can exchange your ticket at no charge for another NAC subscription show, in either French Theatre, English Theatre, NAC Orchestra or Dance.
• You can exchange your ticket for an exchange voucher or a gift certificate.
• You can donate the price of your ticket to the NAC and obtain a tax receipt.
• You can get a full refund at the NAC Box Office only.

How to exchange or refund your ticket?

• In person at the NAC Box Office, from 10 am to 9 pm, Monday to Saturday.
• By fax at 947-7112.
• By mail to the following address: NAC Box Office, P.O. Box 1534, Station B, Ottawa K1P 5W1.
