Industry at 15 Wing Moose Jaw

What is the role of industry currently supporting the NFTC program at 15 Wing Moose Jaw?

Industry provides supports and maintains the aircraft and simulators. The industry team operates 15 Wing Moose Jaw to meet NFTC requirements. Details of the individual industry teams are:

Bombardier Military Aviation Training (BMAT)
BMAT is the prime contractor and consortium project manager. BMAT acquires the training aircraft and equipment, develops and manages the ground training system and provides aircraft maintenance for the aircraft.

BAE Systems
BAE supplies the CT-155 Hawk aircraft, aircraft spares, and ongoing aircraft design and engineering services.

Raytheon Aircraft Company
Raytheon supplies the CT-156 Harvard II aircraft, aircraft spares, initial pilot and technical cadre training, and ongoing aircraft design and engineering services.

CAE Inc.
CAE designs, manufactures and maintains flight-training devices (simulators).

ATCO Frontec Corp.
Frontec provides NFTC facilities support services including maintenance of the buildings, crash fire rescue and snow removal.

SERCO Aviation Services Ltd.
Serco provides flight operations services such as flight planning and meteorological (weather) services.

Aramark Canada Inc.
Aramark Canada Inc. provides catering and cleaning support services.


How many civilians (industry) are employed at 15 Wing as opposed to military personnel?

At any given time, there are approximately 500 military personnel (including students) who belong to 15 Wing Moose Jaw. The number of industry personnel is approximately 325.
