What’s in it for me?

Pilot photo We’ll provide everything you need to become not only an experienced, professional pilot but also a strong team leader.

Right from the start you’ll receive leadership and professional development training, full medical and dental benefits, four to five weeks’ paid vacation every year, and free access to full gym and recreation facilities. After some basic military education you will go on to world-class pilot training on world-class aircraft. We also have a rich and supportive community network at all of our bases to help you and your family whether you’re home or away on a deployment.

Once you have completed basic Officer training and hold a degree your pay will be about $40,000/yr. From there, your salary will rise to around $64,000 once you become a Captain and to $76 000 within another two years. There’s special bonus pay too, – aircrew allowance, and for field operations.

After wings graduation, pilots will have guaranteed employment in the Canadian Forces for a period of seven years.

And at the end of your military career, you’ll be highly marketable as both a pilot and leader in team-management and operations.

There’s a lot in this career. Are you Ready for Takeoff?
