Highlighting opening ceremonies at Air Force Day 2005, 19 Wing Comox, veterans were honoured with a parade.  Wing Commander Colonel Jon Ambler with the Lieutenant-Governor Iona Campagnolo, Honourary Colonel of 19 Wing Comox, aide-de-camps Major Don Crocker are briefed by Colonel Terry Chester.

Highlighting opening ceremonies at Air Force Day 2005, 19 Wing Comox, veterans were honoured with a parade at which they were presented with commemorative coins by the Wing Commander Colonel Jon Ambler, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia and Honourary Colonel Iona Campagnolo.  Here Flight Lieutenant (retired) Des Mayne of Comox chats with Colonel Ambler.  During wartime,  Mr Mayne, a pilot, flew missions on Dakota aircraft with 215 and 194 Royal Air Force Squadrons in Burma.

Highlighting opening ceremonies at Air Force Day 2005, 19 Wing Comox, veterans were honoured with a parade.  Here Margaret Honey is greeted by Lieutenant-Governor and Honourary Colonel Iona Campagnolo.  Mrs. Honey joined the RCAF in 1942 as a dental assistant.  After assisting the repatriation of Canadians following the end of the Second World War, she retired as a Flight Officer in 1946.
