Search and Rescue

During the Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue Graduation Ceremony, At 19 Wing Comox, Sergeant Dale Robillard comes to a landing in front of family, friends and Media. Sgt Robillard grew up in the Ottawa Valley and joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1981. Sgt Robillard has been a Search and Rescue technician since 1992. Sgt Robillard is currently the senior instructor at the school.

Capt (N) Nigel Greenwood, CO MARPAC, and Scott Larsen, an inside clerk at Canada Post Courtenay, BC unveil the new SAR (Search and Rescue) stamps at a ceremony at CFB Esquimalt. The stamp honours all agencies, groups and personnel past and present involved in the national SAR program. The four stamps represent the full spectrum of search and rescue, each depicting a separate activity; an alpine rescue, a rescue at sea, a rescue by air, and a ground rescue involving a trained search dog.  2005

Col Jon Ambler, 19 Wing Commander and Chief Warrant Officer Arnie Macauley, i/c (in charge) Canadian Forces School of Search and Rescue receive the Back and Bevington award on October 20, 2005. The prestigious trophy is awarded annually for significant contribution to air safety in the province of B.C.
