12 Wing, Shearwaters skyline is beginning to change as the Maritime Helicopter Training Centre (MHTC) is constructed beside Hangar D. The training centre will house 406 Squadron and will include training aids for the new CH-148 Cyclone, including classrooms and flight simulators. The MHTC is expected to open its doors in 2007 when personnel from 12 Wing will begin training in preparation for the delivery of the Cyclone in late 2008.
