WANTED: Air Force Experience

Re-enrol

The Air Force Intake & Liaison Team (AFI&LT) is teaming up with Canadian Forces Recruiting Group (CFRG) to get the word out that the Air Force is actively seeking fully trained ex-military pilots and technicians as well as other Air Force individuals who may be considering re-enrolment.

The AFI&LT, which is based in Ottawa, was created in August 2002 to identify and staff initiatives aimed at improving the re-enrolment of Air Force personnel into the Canadian Forces (CF).
Due to manning shortages, former Pilots, Avionics System Technicians (AVS Tech), Aviation Systems Technicians (AVN Tech) and Aircraft Structure Technicians (ACS Tech) are some of the most stressed occupations being sought.

Re-enrolment for previous serving members can take as long as one year. The AFI&LT is working closely with CFRG and the career managers in an effort to reduce re-enrolment waiting time to four to six weeks.

Re-enrol

The AFI&LT considers those returning as "force multipliers". There are many advantages to re-enrolling fully qualified personnel. The Air Force recognizes the qualities of leadership, maturity, and experience that former personnel bring with them.  We have found that these personnel can immediately contribute into the aerospace capability.  Those returning are an indicator to serving personnel that the CF remains an employer of choice.

Persons interested in receiving more information on this initiative are asked to contact the AFI&LT through one of its toll free numbers.
