The Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post to Present a Commemorative Coin and Stamp Set to the Snowbirds Air Demonstration Team

Ottawa, June 27, 2006 – Flanked by members of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, officials from the Royal Canadian Mint and Canada Post will officially unveil a commemorative coin and stamp set Thurday, June 29 at 1 p.m. at the Ottawa International Airport.

The commemoration will come as the Snowbirds prepare to execute their traditional fly past over Parliament Hill two days later during Canada Day celebrations. In a symbolic gesture, the Mint and Canada Post will also present the 431 Air Demonstration Squadron with a set whose Certificate of Authenticity bears the number 00431.
