What’s Going on at IFES?
From January to March 2016, the National Assembly for Persons with Disabilities (NAPD) with support from the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), carried out an audit of all polling stations in the Poltava oblast.
The General Election Network for Disability Access (AGENDA), organized a meeting of disability rights advocates on June 18 in Phuket, Thailand, to discuss recommendations for the access to justice, disaster risk management, and entrepreneurship for people with disabilities in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Community.
IFES Kenya is providing grants to youth-based organizations whose focus is encouraging greater and more meaningful youth participation in Kenya’s electoral process. The campus-based initiatives hinge on engaging youth through peer-to-peer advocacy led by fellow youth known as Campus Ambassadors.
