Displays

Would you like to feature an environmental topic at one of your educational events? Alberta Environment has a variety of displays to assist you in your efforts. Displays are available for the following topics:

  • Waste Not. This display describes waste, how we manage it and choices we can make.
  • Wetlands. This display illustrates why wetlands are important and how to protect them.

Displays may be reserved by contacting the Information Centre. They will only be shipped through a local government office. To inquire about displays, please contact us by email or telephone: 780-427-6310 (toll-free by first dialing 310-0000).

Listserver

Stay connected! Would you like regular updates about new education resources, initiatives and events. We will send you an email every 2-3 months beginning April 2006. You may join online, or contact us by email or telephone: 780-427-6310 (toll-free by first dialing 310-0000) to have your name added to our listserver.

Speakers

We'd love to speak with you! Alberta Environment works in partnership with a variety of organizations to deliver well-informed presentations about air, water, waste, climate change and wetlands. While we cannot fill all requests for speakers, we will try to accommodate requests from teachers, community groups and other organizations. Speakers may visit you in person, or offer an opportunity for you to participate in a webinar (web-based seminar and teleconference call). To inquire about guest speakers, please contact us by email or telephone: 780-427-6310 (toll-free by first dialing 310-0000).

Teaching Resources

Alberta Environment produces a variety of resources for educators. Suitable for teachers, youth group leaders and other educators, these resources are provided free, in limited quantities to Alberta-based educators. Access our Resource List for an overview of Alberta Environment's teaching resources. Many resources may also be downloaded from the Teacher portion of our website. For further information about teaching resources, please contact us by email or telephone: 780-427-6310 (toll-free by first dialing 310-0000).

Webinars

Short for web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar transmitted over the Web. Webinars invite interaction between the presenter and the audience. Alberta Environment's education staff offer webinars to groups of 10 or more individuals. To inquire about a webinar, please contact us by email or telephone: 780-427-6310 (toll-free by first dialing 310-0000).
