The Information About Air section contains a short history of ambient air management in Alberta, some definitions and terminology that are on this site, along with information on the factors that affect air quality and how air quality can affect the environment.

The Ambient Air Monitoring section describes what is monitored, the monitoring methods used and where the monitoring stations are located. This section also contains a link to the site for the Alberta Ambient Air Data Management System, commonly referred to as the CASA Data Warehouse where you can find historical air monitoring data.

Dispersion models are used to determine if the emissions from an industrial facility will meet Ambient Air Quality Objectives. The Air Quality Modelling section provides a general description of modelling in addition to model support and modelling guidelines required by professionals.

The Emissions Monitoring and Reporting section provides information on emissions inventories, industrial reporting and a link for online Continuous Emission Monitoring reporting.
