PRESCRIPTION OF DRUGS BY AUTHORIZED
PRACTITIONERS REGULATION

Prescription of drugs by midwives

1   A midwife within the meaning of the Midwifery Regulation (AR 328/94) is authorized to prescribe drugs in accordance with that Regulation.

Prescription of drugs by nurse practitioner

2   A nurse practitioner providing health services within the meaning of the Nurse Practitioner Regulation under the Public Health Act is authorized to prescribe drugs for the purposes of and in accordance with that Regulation.
