Association (ALTCA) is a non-profit Volunteer organization representing
Continuing Care facility owners and operators of private, public and voluntary
sectors throughout the province of Alberta. Our priority is providing care. |

Association members are highly regulated and
operate under the Alberta Nursing Homes Act, the Hospital's Act as well as the
standards set by the Health Regions. Continuing Care facilities have a
significant role in providing health Care and accommodations to elderly and
disabled Albertans |
The regulation of the industry
helps ensure that all elderly Albertans have access to continuing care services
regardless of the financial circumstances. |
Our Members' set standards within
the association and follow the Best Practice policies.
