Credits refer to university level study only. Completed university credit is calculated by converting the number of hours of instruction for each course into comparable Alberta credits. In Alberta, three credits represent the average weight for one course in a semester. Thirty credits represent the average weight for one year of full-time study in arts or in a science program. For professional programs credits are calculated on a program basis.
