Just like your truck, good ideas for community initiatives need a sparkplug to get going. Are you that sparkplug? The Ag Tourism Cluster Development Process is a simple but strategic approach to getting community ag tourism initiatives off the ground. The 4 step process outlines a path to follow along with key points to help ensure success. Results from pilot Ag Tourism Cluster Development projects include regional driving tour events such as the Country Soul Stroll, Fur and Feather’s Farm Tour and Country Drive ’05. As well, a number of agri-food events have been launched to showcase local product like The Harvest Festival of Foods and Taste of the High Country. Download the Ag Tourism Cluster Development Process at www.agtourism.ca. You might just be the sparkplug needed to get an ag tourism initiative going in your community.
