| | A couple of deadlines from the Canadian Wheat Board coming up. First, farmers who have taken a 2006-07 fall cash advance have until October 31 to sign up for the Board's 2006-07 pre-delivery top-up program. Farmers also have until October 31st to sign up for a basis priced contract or a fixed price contract. Mel Pawlyk, manager of the CWB’s Producer Payment Options, explains the Fixed Price Contract is essentially a flat price that is offered on a reference grade.

Sign-up and pricing forms for all producer payment options are available on the board website, through fax on demand, or by calling 1-800-275-4292. The sign-up deadline for Series A contracts is October 31st.
