Call of the Land Calendar for October 31, 2006

 And on our Call of the Land Calendar....A reminder that today is the deadline to RSVP for Thursday’s Country Roads Agri-Preneur Network meeting in Camrose. The guest speaker is Martine Bolinger, who has been very active with the LEARN Agri-Food Group in the Peace River region. Call Lisa Sharp at 780-679-5169.

Today is also the deadline to apply for the Canadian Farm Families Options program, a new federal program to help lower-income farmers and farm families improve their earning potential for the long-term. Call 1-866-367-8506.

Alberta Beef Producer fall meetings continue tomorrow night—7 p.m. at Ralph’s Bar and Grill in Medicine Hat, 7 p.m. at the Killam Legion Hall, 10 a.m. at the Camrose Regional Exhibition, 7 p.m. at the Elks Community Hall in Sangudo, 7 p.m. at the Bonnyville Rec Centre, and 7 p.m. at the Valleyview Memorial Hall. The Valleyview meeting is preceded by a beef on a bun supper at 6 p.m.
