Also next week, Technical Services Division of Alberta Agriculture is hosting two information/training sessions on the updated version of the Economic Livestock Impact Calculator. Session one is in Leduc on Monday afternoon, followed by a second session in Lethbridge on Tuesday morning. There’s a pulse, canola and barley meeting in Three Hills one week from today. Yellowhead County is hosting a Livestock Emergency Response Planning seminar on Thursday of next week, getting underway at 12:30 p.m. at the Carrot Creek Community Hall. Topics to be covered include: stressed animal handling and behaviour, preparedness for emergencies, prevention, proper response procedures, handler safety, rescue techniques and euthanasia.
