Negotiating Seismic Contracts on Private Land

 This course is suited for landowners who would like to receive a significantly higher settlement when seismic operations cross their property. Topics include principles of oil production, how seismic works, identifying which land is more valuable to the seismic company and negotiating damages. The instructor of this course is a petroleum geologist and a previous seismic permitter who, as well as being a farmer himself, negotiates damage settlements between farmers and oil companies. This course is being offered at three locations in Alberta:
  • Edmonton – October 29, 2006, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the University of Alberta Extension at the Devonian Botanic Gardens. Contact (780) 987-2460
