Organic Connections 2006 will bring the organic community together in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on November 12 to 14, 2006. Speakers from across Canada and the U.S. will address timely issues such as: eating locally; ecological, economic and social benefits; community collaboration; and, trends, opportunities and leadership in organic excellence. The conference will be a learning and networking opportunity as well as a chance to celebrate the diverse and dynamic community of organic farmers, consumers and businesses. More than 50 scientists, master farmers and marketing specialists will provide information to help improve the sustainability and profitability of organic farms, share ideas on how to collaborate with communities and neighbors to eat locally, build more ecological and economically sustainable communities and offer new ideas on alternative energy, challenges, technologies and management issues. Registration costs per person are $371 ($350 plus GST). Single day registration is also available at $132.50 per person ($125 plus GST). For further information and to register, visit the conference website or contact Debbie Miller, president and conference chair, at (306) 476-2739.
