Institutions Overview
The
Alberta Superintendent of Financial Institutions
(ASFI) is responsible for the following duties
as they relate to financial institutions:
- minimizing the risk
of loss to deposit holders and consumers of trust
products in Alberta;
- promoting a level,
fair and competitive environment for financial
institutions; and
- promoting an efficient,
fair and competitive capital market for shares
of credit unions.
