FLOOD RISK MAP INFORMATION SYSTEM

Welcome to Alberta Environment’s Flood Risk Map Information website.

The purpose of this website is to display available Flood Risk Map information throughout the province. This is achieved using a Geographical Information System (GIS) based site that has the ability to show detail at the street/property level. You can find your location by municipality, postal code, lot block plan or legal land description.

• Only specific municipalities have flood risk map information available. As new flood risk maps are completed they will be added to the Flood Risk Map Information System.
• Flood lines shown are based on the design flood. In Alberta, the design flood is the 100-year flood. Larger flood events will put a larger area at flood risk.
• The flood lines shown are a digital representation of detailed engineering maps. For precise flood line locations at a specific site, contact AENV–Flood.Risk–Maps@gov.ab.ca.
