Southern Region - Calgary

This site provides public notice of applications and decisions and other information on applications received under the Water Act in the Southern Region of Alberta Environment in the province of Alberta. This report is updated frequently throughout the month.

Alberta Environment is responsible for managing Alberta's water resources. As one of its many functions, the department is responsible for administering the Water Act. Department staff in offices throughout the province are involved in the daily management and administration of the Act. Staff in Calgary are responsible for issuing authorizations for construction activity in the Bow River basin.
