Alberta's River Basins
Alberta is divided into seven major river basins or major river systems, namely the Peace, Athabasca, Hay, North Saskatchewan, South Saskatchewan, Beaver and Milk river basins.
Precipitation Maps Updated Daily/Weekly/Monthly
Precipitation maps show current accumulated precipatation reports for daily, weekly, monthly, and storm events as well as archives.
Provincial Air Temperature Summary May 2003 - Updated Daily (PDF)
Provincial Air Temperature Summary Report provides a overview of current air temperatures by river basin, as well as maximum and minimum air temperatures from yesterday 00:00 to current values.
Provincial Reservoir Storage Summary May 2003 - Updated Daily (PDF)
Provincial Reservoir Storage Summary Report provides an overview of current reservoir storage conditions by river basin, as well as current capacity as a percent of average and a comparison to last year’s value.
Provincial Natural Flow Summary May 2005 - Updated Daily
Provincial Natural Flow Summary Report provides daily natural flow forecasts for various locations in the Bow, Oldman, Red Deer and South Saskatchewan River Basins.
