Capital Planning Team

WMO's Capital Planning Team works in support of the Government of Alberta's (GoA) Capital Planning Initiative (CPI). The Capital Planning Team, a part of Infrastructure Support, Water Management Operations, facilitates the rehabilitation of WMO infrastructure in partnership with Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation (IFTRA), The Capital Planning Team provides engineering technical support to the regional operations staff and conducts studies for potentially new or enhanced water infrastructure in support of the Water for Life Strategy. The Team provides technical support for:

• Assessment of existing infrastructure
• Prioritization for rehabilitation and replacement of water infrastructure capital projects
• Project implementation reports
• The Partnership with Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation (IFTRA) for project implementation
• Feasibility studies for potential new, or enhancement of existing water management infrastructure
