About Alberta

Alberta, in the country of Canada, is a vibrant and diverse province with the fastest growing economy in the country.

Alberta is located in between the western provinces of British Columbia and Saskatchewan and north of the American state of Montana. With a total population of more than three million, Alberta has a mixture of rural and urban communities. Two-thirds of the population reside within the province's 16 cities.

Blessed with an abundance of natural advantages, Alberta has a favourable business environment that encourages investment and allows companies and industries to compete and succeed. Principal industries include agriculture, forestry, telecommunications, and oil and gas.
