Reduce Your Risk for Type 2 Diabetes

Keeping your body weight in check is about more than appearance. Being overweight increases your risk for type 2 diabetes significantly. In fact, eight out of 10 people with type 2 diabetes are overweight. Achieve a healthy body weight by being active most days and by choosing a variety of lower calorie, healthy foods, including whole grain products, vegetables and fruit, milk products, and meat and meat alternatives.
