| An Alberta company specializing in cattle software and technology has captured national recognition. Yvonne Tollens of ComputerAid Professional Services has been named the 2006 RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur in Innovation. The company, which Tollens co-founded, provides tools, technology and training in agricultural hardware, software and technical management solutions to 1.5-billion dollars worth of cattle and agricultural inventory every year. One of those tools is a new software program that’s designed to improve how information is collected on a herd. Rancher’s Advantage is a free program developed by ComputerAid Professional Services in conjunction with the National Beef Industry Development Fund, which is managed by the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association. Tollens says this program enables producers to collect as little or as much data as they like.
