Its members have a reputation for providing authentic "country-style" western Canadian hospitality (food, lodging, activity and friendliness). Members are approved by the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).
Inns & Lodges
Charming Inns of Alberta are independently owned and operated. With a focus on personalized service and excellent food and beverage amenities, these well-appointed lodgings meet or exceed Canada Select 's “Three Star” or Alberta Motor Association's “Three Diamond” standards.
Hostels
Hostelling International offers affordable stays from rustic to resort-style. Many of Alberta’s 16 hostels are conveniently located along one of the world’s most scenic drive and bike routes, the Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and Banff. Two award winning hostels appointed with family and private rooms, restaurants, bars and internet facilities can be found in Banff and Lake Louise.
Backcountry Huts
Alpine Club of Canada maintains more than a dozen “basic” huts in the Alberta backcountry—many of which can be used by skiers or hikers. The Alpine Club also organizes courses and trips that use their huts as base camps.
