Internal Trade Speaker's Bureau

The International and Intergovernmental Relations Internal Trade Speaker's Bureau is a service to Albertans.

Part of our philosophy of helping businesses and individuals is to help them become more familiar with the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT), what it is, has done, and can do for Albertans. We hope to help businesses improve inter-provincial trade and mobility or deal with problems, or perhaps, prevent problems from becoming insurmountable. Alberta internal trade representatives and representatives from other Alberta sectoral departments will be happy to make workshop, seminar or keynote presentations to your group.

These talks are designed for adult organizations or groups with an attendance of at least 15 individuals at meetings held in Alberta. Some of the groups to whom we have made these presentations include:

  • Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties
  • Alberta Urban Municipalities Association
  • Alberta New Media Calgary Chapter
  • Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta
  • Certified General Accountants Association of Alberta
  • Rotary Club of Sherwood Park

Depending upon the timing, International and Intergovernmental Relations trade representatives can address virtually any inter-provincial trade issue that is of interest to Alberta businesses. Our most common presentations on the AIT include:

  • Overview
  • Procurement
  • MASH
  • Labour Mobility
  • Dispute Resolution
  • Status
  • Challenges
