Welcome
Welcome to our community! This profile is intended to provide you with basic information about our town. If you require additional information, please contact our representative in the "Key Contacts for Business Development" section found at the end of this profile.
Area Overview
The Town of Grande Cache gateway to the Willmore Wilderness Park, is a vibrant community of 3,800 people. The town was planned and built starting in 1969 in response to resource development. Accordingly, visitors will find a modern town in an unspoiled wilderness environment.
The early planners were very sensitive to the need to protect and maintain the natural splendour of the area and the integrity of the town's beauty. Accordingly, Grande Cache is located on the southwest shoulder of Grande Mountain overlooking the spectacular Front Ranges of the Canadian Rockies. Resource industries are located about 20 km from the municipal boundaries, so that the town retains its unspoiled scenic environment.
As a planned community, Grande Cache has uniformly modern facilities to serve both citizens and visitors. Grande Cache combines the best of both worlds; modern services and accommodations surrounded by pristine mountain wilderness.
