Organization
On May 25, 1999,
the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC)
became part of the Ministry
of Gaming. The AGLC is an agent of the Government
of Alberta and consists of a Board
and a Corporation.
The AGLC:
- ensures that gaming and liquor activities in Alberta are
conducted honestly, openly, and with the highest level of
integrity
- endeavours to maximize the economic benefits of gaming
and liquor activities in the province to benefit Albertans,
and
- administers the Alberta
Lottery Fund under the provisions of the Gaming
and Liquor Act.
