| The Olds College School of Innovation has joined a powerhouse list of post-secondary research facilities researching the environmental impact of disposing of such materials as SRM’s or Specified Risk Materials. As Director of Research Dr. Abimbola Abiola explains, the College’s role in this research is on the front-end of the project.

He says once this part of the research is complete, results will be sent to other labs in Edmonton. The total cost of this project is 3.4-million dollars, much of which is provided by the Alberta Prion Research Institute. The project is expected to take at least three years to complete.
