SuperNet benefits northern students via RACOL Project - March 3, 2004
Students in some parts of Northern Alberta now have access to the same educational opportunities as those living in more urban centres, thanks to Alberta SuperNet and the Rural Advanced Community of Learners (RACOL) Project's new learning suites.

Learning Live launched - February, 2003
The Red Deer Catholic Regional Division launches Learning Live, involving St. Gabriel Cyber School and Notre Dame High School in Red Deer linking in an online, collaborative teaching program with St. Matthew School in Rocky Mountain House. 

Eckville first to receive Internet acccess via SuperNet- January 2003
Residents in Eckville, west of Red Deer, become the first rural Albertans to receive SuperNet-enabled home Internet access. Platinum Communications and partner Persona Communications offer residents high-speed cable Internet service, using Alberta SuperNet to reach the town cost-effectively.
