Every year, usually
in February or March, the government releases the
provincial
budget, which provides details of government
and ministry business plans, spending plans
(main estimates) and revenue forecasts for the coming
three years.
Three
times in the year (August, November, and February),
the government publishes quarterly fiscal updates
and quarterly activity reports to update or
add to the information already in the budget. As
required, supplementary estimates may be
published with the quarterly fiscal updates. Occasionally,
interim supply estimates may be published
prior to tabling a full budget.
The
Government of Alberta Annual Report is published
three months after the end of the fiscal year (June).
Individual
Ministry Annual Reports are published six months
after the end of the fiscal year (September).
