Bfuel Canada is hosting drop-in/information sessions for producers and landowners interested in supplying oilseed crops for a proposed crusher and biodiesel refining facility to be located in southern Alberta. Topics include: opportunities and benefits for the producers working with Bfuel Canada, new generation co-op and industry partnership structuring, benefits of biodiesel and everyday use, off grid energy generation and storage systems for farm use, OnFarm Energy Audit Program, and the southern Alberta Alternative Energy Partnership. Meetings will be held in Taber and Claresholm. The Taber meeting is tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Parkside Manor Senior Centre. Farm Credit Canada is sponsoring a Farm Management: Profitability and Budgeting Seminar in Grande Prairie on Friday. The course is geared to producers wanting to improve their ability to better analyze their farming operation and improve overall financial decision-making. And next week there’s a Winter Feeding, Watering and Fencing Tour taking place on Thursday, leaving from the Wildwood Community Hall. The cost is $10 per person and that does include lunch.
