Agriculture Canada Joins IFASA

 The Ministers had a very busy day. After the press conference on marketing choice, it was off to the University of Alberta farm, where Agriculture Canada joined IFASA, the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Alberta. Dr. Tom Facklam, CEO of IFASA, says they’ll be doing a number of things to move the organization forward.

Agriculture Minister Doug Horner says it’s important to showcase this side of the agriculture industry, the agriculture research component.

Horner is now off to Mexico to meet with agriculture leaders and officials from Canada, Mexico and the United States to advance rural development efforts in North America.
