The government is reviewing the advanced learning system in Alberta. This comprehensive review will look at the entire system including current funding, tuition, affordability, rural education, innovation, and roles and responsibilities.

Alberta Funeral Services Regulatory Board Governance Review
Closed: July 17, 2006
Albertans are being asked to provide their input on the Funeral Services Regulatory Board, which oversees the provision of funeral services in the province.

Conflicts of Interest Act Review
Closed: September 9, 2005
An all-party committee of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta is seeking public input during its review of the Conflicts of Interest Act to ensure public confidence in elected officials and government.

Continuing Care Standards
Closed: July 31, 2005
An MLA Task Force is gathering input on the proposed health service and accommodation standards for continuing care. Albertans are encouraged to complete the online discussion guide to ensure the standards meet the needs of Albertans in continuing care.

Emissions Trading
Closed: August 15, 2005
Emissions trading in nitrogen oxide and sulphur dioxide has been suggested under Cabinet-approved recommendations for managing emissions from Alberta's coal-fired electricity power plants. Albertans are being asked to comment on the implementation of these recommendations.

Employment Standards Review

Albertans have the opportunity to help shape Alberta’s employment standards laws. Government is asking for public input into the review of Alberta’s Employment Standards Code and Regulation.

Forest Management Planning

Alberta's security industry has expanded and changed and it's time to review and modernize the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act. The government is asking the public to provide input by filling out a questionnaire.

Government MLA Review of the Special Constable Program

The government is reviewing the program that authorizes and appoints Alberta's special constables. Special constables fulfill a diverse set of roles, duties and responsibilities relating to law enforcement.

Health Policy Framework

Review of the Police Service Regulations

The provincial government is reviewing the Police Service Regulations and is looking for public input. The review deals with police officer conduct and discipline, officer training standards and probationary periods for new and promoted officers.

Security Industry Review

A number of changes to the security industry have been proposed through a review of the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act. Government is now looking for feedback from Albertans on these changes.

Sheep River and Bluerock Wildland Provincial Parks Draft Management Plan
Closed: September 30, 2006
Albertans are being asked for input into a draft management plan that will establish goals and objectives on how to preserve, appreciate and use the Sheep River and Bluerock Wildland provincial parks in Kananaskis.

South Saskatchewan River Basin Water Management Plan
Closed: January 13, 2006
A draft water management plan for the South Saskatchewan River Basin (SSRB) is now available for public review.

Unclaimed Personal Property and Vested Property Act
Closed: October 31, 2006
Albertans have a further opportunity to help shape the regulation of property that comes to the Crown when it is unclaimed or becomes vested. Albertans are asked to provide their input on Bill 41, the Unclaimed Personal Property and Vested Property Act.

Working Together to Prevent Identity Theft
Closed: September 15, 2005
Albertans are being asked for their input as part of a nationwide consultation on proposed legislation that would strengthen safeguards against identity theft and include measures aimed at helping victims of such crimes.
