EnerGuide for Low-Income Households (EGLIH)

The Government of Canada is developing a new made-in-Canada approach to climate change emphasizing new technologies developed in concert with the provinces and in co-ordination with other major industrial countries.

As a result, all climate change-related initiatives, including the EnerGuide for Low-Income Households (EGLIH) program, are being re-examined to ensure they achieve real results for Canada.

Program delivery for EGLIH has been discontinued and therefore new applications for assistance under the program are no longer being processed.

However, the Government of Canada is honoring its financial commitments made under the EnerGuide for Low-Income Households (EGLIH) program.

All applicants who have received a CMHC letter of conditional commitment or final approval for assistance under the EGLIH program will receive their funding as promised.

CMHC is contacting all applicants to advise them of the status of their application.
