Alberta Health and Wellness provides dedicated air ambulance services through contracted providers of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft located at nine bases throughout the province. Delivery of ground ambulance services is the responsibility of Alberta municipal governments.
The Minister of Health and Wellness sets and enforces standards for ambulance service in the province, through the Ambulance Services Act
and its regulations.
