A Century of Kitchen Waste Interactive Website

In the last 100 years, our kitchens have changed from having just one appliance, the coal and/or wood stove, to having numerous appliances that run on electricity or natural gas. The type and the amount of waste produced in each household kitchen have also changed. A Century of Kitchen Waste is an interactive website that compares how we manage kitchen waste today to how it was managed in 1905.

Alberta Pacific Education Programs

Why would a forest company want to provide students with the views of environmental groups and other forest companies when teaching about the forest? Because they believe in providing students with accurate information and viewpoints from a wide variety of sources, enabling them to make their own decisions about forest management. Their program is based on the Alberta curriculum in Social Studies and Science for Kindergarten through to Grade 12, and can also be used by community service groups such as Beavers, Cubs, Junior Forest Wardens, 4-H, etc.
