PROJECTS

New and upcoming projects:

AOC partnered with the Archives Society of Alberta and just completed the Prairie Populism - A Window into Nation Building project. The site includes a Prairie Populist interactive simulation, a Teacher Toolkit, a Virtual Archive and a student forum area called the Canadian Connection. Explore this dynamic exploration of grassroots democracy and active citizenship at www.prairiepopulism.ca

AOC, Red Crow College and the Archives Society of Alberta have just started a new project call Seeing With New Eyes which will explore different ways of knowing and information sharing through the Blackfoot culture. Look for more information as the project progresses.

Nitsitapiisinni – Our Way of Life is a virtual exhibit developed by the Glenbow Museum as an interactive journey to learn about Blackfoot culture and life. AOC, in collaboration with the Blackfoot Confederacy and the Glenbow, developed the supporting Teacher Toolkit. The project can be found at www.glenbow.org/blackfoot.

AOC will be providing an overview of all our new and recently completed projects at the AOC Symposium in Edmonton in November.

AOC continues as lead partner in several exciting projects.

The Joint Learning Inititative project developed a model for a career path in the field of Logistics. The application of the model resulted in the development of online, interactive Logistics courses for the Secondary level.
