Effective October 2004, all seniors, regardless of income will be exempt from paying Alberta Health Care Insurance premiums. Any premiums owing up to the end of September 30, 2004 must be paid.
Seniors who have submitted their proof of age declaration and been approved are eligible for premium-free Alberta Blue Cross for themselves, their spouses and/or dependants.
To qualify, complete the Proof of Age Declaration
and return it to either the Alberta Seniors Benefit Program or to Alberta Health and Wellness.
