Excellent information, great food and open discussion await participants at the annual Grassroots Cattle Conference, being held in St. Paul on October 26, 2006. Topics being addressed include anthrax, age verification, family friendly farming, winter feeding and grazing strategies and consumer expectations. The conference will present timely and relevant presentations from key speakers and ‘grassroots’ producers’ perspectives and will be complemented with a diverse tradeshow featuring products and services directly related to the beef industry. Key speakers include Joel Salatin, a respected consultant on alternative approaches to agriculture and family friendly farming, and Amanda Sheehan who will provide a perspective on the current beef industry, including an update on age verification, consumer expectations and global demands. Conference cost is $40 per person. For more information, contact Delaney Anderson (780) 650-5444 or Perry Phillips (780) 636-2816.
