Alberta Pulse Growers seminar

 The Alberta Pulse Growers seminar is being held at the Westlock Community Hall on November 22, 2006. The seminar begins at 11:30 a.m. and after the annual meeting, wrap-up is expected by 4:30 p.m. The agenda presentations include:
  • Growing Nitrogen with Pulse Crops – Sheri Strydhorst, University of Alberta
  • Pulse Prices and other Protein Crops – David Wong, market specialist, Alberta Agriculture
  • Lupin Production and Processing Update – Mark Olson, provincial pulse industry development specialist, Alberta Agriculture
  • Zero Tannin Faba Bean Update – Ken Lopetinsky, pulse research agronomist, Alberta Agriculture
  • Annual zone meeting, president’s, financial and commissioner reports, and election of directors
